STATISTICS

The subject is vast and lends itself to many handling on the TI-89/92. Because of the significant number of functions which contains these machines, one can imagine many uses during the school, where they would play the part of an electronic black table.
The aim is not here to highlight this type of operation, all the more as many types of other calculators could undoubtedly play an equivalent part.
We want rather to highlight how on 2 or 3 precise points, the TI-89/92 can intervene with their specificities to enrich the mathematic school.
We will stick to the method of least squares, noting that it is used as of the economic and tertiary sections, but also in almost the whole of the sections of high-level techniciens.
We will also show an example of use in a more unusual context than the exercises suggested to the pupils.
